
Bill
Hicks is a professional trumpet player who has entertained crowds from coast to
coast for the last 40 years. From 1976-79, he was the lead trumpeter for the
Harry James Orchestra. He toured the country with the James band and
appeared on national TV shows, such as John Denver and Friend and the Merv
Griffin Show. He has performed with a host of Big Bands ranging from Bob Crosby
to Lee Castle and the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra.
His
trumpet has backed up artists ranging from the Temptations, Four Tops, Tony
Bennett, Natalie Cole, Bobby Vinton, Johnny Mathis, Helen Reddy, Engelbert, Rita
Moreno, Mills Brothers, Bob Hope, Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra. He can also be
found performing in the pit orchestra at the Hershey Theatre for the touring
Broadway shows.
